Why an earbud translator beats a handheld device
One phone, two ears
Both people share one phone and one pair of earbuds. Each earbud gets only the language its wearer should hear, so neither of you has to pass a device back and forth.
Auto-route who is speaking
Voice activity detection figures out which side is talking and translates in the right direction. You can focus on the conversation, not on pressing buttons.
Works with standard TWS earbuds
Most modern true-wireless earbuds on Bluetooth 5.2, 5.3 or 5.4 that support independent single-ear operation can be used. We run a quick compatibility check before the first conversation.
Fallback when earbuds are not right
If the earbuds cannot split cleanly, Parlivon speaks out loud and shows a chat view with both languages on screen — you are never stuck.
How it works in 30 seconds
Connect your earbuds
Put the phone in the middle and give one earbud to each person. A setup screen confirms left and right ears are assigned correctly.
Pick your languages
Choose the language each person speaks — including regional variants like US, UK, Canadian, and Australian English, or French from France and Canada.
Talk normally
Hold to speak or let auto-route handle the switch. Each side hears the translated voice in their own earbud, with a transcript on screen for confirmation.

Common questions
Do I need special translator earbuds?
No. Parlivon uses normal TWS earbuds that can operate independently in each ear. If you already own earbuds that work in single-ear mode, they likely work.
What if only one of us has earbuds?
You can use the phone speaker and microphone, or the chat view where both languages appear on screen.
Can two people use the same phone?
Yes — that is the point. One phone runs Parlivon, one earbud goes to each person, and the conversation flows both ways.
